In addition to general performance improvements and bug fixes, the big new feature in Release 99 is support for four new NRZ speed configurations when using the G2 version of our Z800 Freya QSFP traffic generators – 8x10G, 8x25G, 4x50G & 2x100G using 10G and 25G SerDes. This is in addition to the support for the 8x50G 56G SerDes that was added in Release 98.1.
Also in R99 you’ll find:
– the option when in Layer 1 mode to generate a single stream of traffic without stream statistics, or multiple streams with latency and jitter statistics, as well as support for Sync Start Traffic in TGA modes. Please note that AN/LT and FEC error injection are not supported when using Z800 Freya to test the NRZ speeds.
– an Extended Payload Editor that lets you customize/configure the entire payload area of a stream in addition to the pre-define payload patterns. You also get the ability to customize the transceiver memory page definitions in CMIS Explorer.
– Z800 Freya can now do Auto-Negotiation when a port is running with Loopback.
– a new version of the ChassisUpgrader which alerts you – prior to upgrading – if the modules in your system are End of Life (EoL).
We’ve also made a new version of the Wireshark plugin so we now support Wireshark 3.0 and later, enabling you to preview and capture packets.
