Overview

ValkyrieManager or Xena OpenAutomation (XOA) are used to control the Xena chassis and test modules.

ValkyrieManager

ValkyrieManager is a Windows desktop application provided for ad-hoc test execution, and remote management of test equipment located in multiple locations. Key features include:

Layer 2-3 Traffic Generation & Analysis (TGA) & Physical Layer testing
Used for functional and performance testing of all Ethernet speeds up to 800Gbps
Easy management of ports and traffic streams shaped to match any real-world scenario
Packet editor with support for both protocol and byte-level packet definitions
Automatic protocol decoding of incoming packets
Supports multiple Xena chassis shared by multiple users in different locations down to the port level via TCP/IP

Xena OpenAutomation (XOA)

XOA is an open-source test automation framework for use with Xena’s Valkyrie Traffic Generation & Analysis (TGA) solutions and Chimera, our network emulation solution.

Fast, easy to use and extremely flexible, XOA features a Python API that runs on any OS.

XOA includes numerous convenient features for harnessing legacy Xena and 3rd party automation and scripting processes, extensive documentation and can be freely downloaded from GitHub.

XOA CLI, a command-line-interface scripting API with hundreds of scriptable parameters to make test automation easier.

Unified UI and Automation Workflow

ValkyrieManager combined with XOA enables a smooth & efficient integrated workflow – all the way from engineering bring-up to QA regressions.

ValkyrieManager system and test setup can be directly used as a foundation for further test automation in XOA, which provides a very efficient workflow.

Valkyrie Test Suite Desktop Applications

Valkyrie Test Suite Desktop Applications (for Windows) include automated test suites to conduct RFC 2544, Y.1564, RFC 2889 and RFC 3918 testing.

Valkyrie2544 provides comprehensive support for all four test types specified in RFC2544. It also offers the flexibility to selectively enable one or more test types based on your requirements. Valkyrie2544 accommodates various network topologies and supports traffic flow in both Layer 2 and Layer 3, catering to both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols. Learn More
